Car-free Connaught Place : The ever-increasing number of vehicles in Delhi and the pollution that comes with it has prompted the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) to consider making a few areas of the Capital traffic-free zones. Some of the places which have been identified in the EPA plan are Chandni Chowk, Ajmal Khan Road, Zakeera and Connaught Place -all business centres which act as magnets of vehicles. The School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) has been asked to submit a detailed plan for these areas to the EPA within a month.
