Committee formed to fight environmental pollution

In view of the rising level of pollution in atmosphere, which affects all sections of society a committee for pollution control was formed by renowned individuals that include intellectuals, officials, industrialists and citizens of the capital city. Speaking to mediapersons, Committee coordinators, Anjay Shukla, Dr Rakesh Gupta and Engineer Umaprakash Ojha pledged that the committee will fight back the problem of increasing air pollution in the State.
They said that the committee members will soon submit a memorandum to Governor and Chief Minister urging for effective actions to prevent emitting of hazardous contents from industries into the atmosphere in the State. They also claimed that the norms made for industries for environment conservation are not religiously followed by them due to which people have to bear the brunt.
Moreover, the dignitaries would also be insisted to ensure use of advanced eco-friendly technologies in the industries in larger interest of people.
Committee member Dr Rakesh Gupta informed that the committee had organised a seminar on June 5 at Press Club, wherein several journalists, environmentalist, CAs, advocates, doctors, industrialists, builders, women’s group, RMC Mayor, Corporators, as well as farmers and public representatives from Dharsiva area participated and expressed their concern about the rising pollution and suggested ways to control the same.
Members of this ‘Control Pollution’ Committee includes Mayor Kiranmayee Nayak, RDA Chairman Sunil Soni, Dr Rakesh Chaturvedi, Dr Dalla, Dr Rakesh Gupta, Dr Anil Verma, Adhivakta Sangh president Ramnarayan Vyas, Industrialist Mahesh Kakkad, CREDAI chairman Anand Singhania, Chamber of Commerce chairman Shrichand Sundrani and various others intellectuals, journalists, public representatives, environmentalists, and prominent citizens.
