A resident of Dando in Snagged, Goa, has filed a police complaint, alleging that illegal felling and theft of timber and firewood worth about Rs 1.5 lakh is taking place at the government property at Shell in Naiquinim village of Snagged Taluka. A team of police officials attached toe the Snagged police station today visited the site and directed the persons involved in cutting the trees not to transport the timber or otherwise deal with the same, till the time the facts are ascertained.
