The Rajasthan Government is looking into ways to make its literacy programmes more effective. Even when the overall literacy rate in the State has gone up considerably in the current Census, the Government is concerned about the level of female literacy here-- at 4.34 per cent--remaining much below the national average of 54.16 per cent.
