The Confederation of North-eastern Environment NGOs (CONENGO), has called upon the people of the North-east to support the efforts made for conservation of the ecological balance in the region. Rapid deforestation, encroachers of forest land and killing of wildlife is depriving the region of its most valuable natural resources. Being blessed with such bio-diversity, the people of the region should endeavour to preserve the rare flora and fauna for sustainable eco-friendly development activities.
