A high level delegation of Delhi Congress led by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) President Choudhury Prem Singh and other senior leaders met Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) JM Lyngdoh on the issue of relocation of slums in the city. The delegation urged Mr Lyngdoh to put a stop to the demolitions of slums till the forthcoming assembly elections in the city. The 10 member delegation gave a memorandum to the chief election commissioner. The delegation members also informed Mr Lyngdoh that delhi government is considering to file a petition in the Supreme Court in this regard.
