Samridhi, an organisation operating at Thakurdwara, near Palampur, in Kangra district, has brought a discernible change in the socio economic lot of women of Kangra and Chamba districts. Being the first women's cooperative of Himachal Pradesh, it has emerged as a force to reckon with during the past five years.
