The Chennai Corporation will soon have a Green Cell to give a concerted thrust to its efforts in mass greening the city. The new unit, to be set up on the lines of the Rainwater Harvesting Cell, will involve local communities, self help groups, NGOs and the private sector in the maintenance of greenery in the city.
