Andhra Pradesh employs 2,50,000 girl children in cottonised fields out of the 4,00,000 employed throughout the country. This startling fact was revealed at the consultative meeting organised by the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty in collaboration with Unicef and non governmental organisations like M V Foundation, Azim Premji foundation and Syngenta.
