A two day state executive of the Communist Party of India, which was held at the Makhdoom bhavan in Hyderabad from February 13, resolved to urge the Andhra Pradesh state government to constitute an expert committee to probe into the reasons for receding ground water table in the state despite implementation of the Neeru-Meeru programme at a cost of Rs 1,400 crore.
