In a planned initiative to consolidate the elusive tribal segment - and hopefully checkmate C K Janu in her own turf - the CPM is leading over 160 families of landless tribesmen now busy clearing a 90-acre chunk of reserve forest at Panavally, Kerala, aiming to erect permanent huts there. And that is just to begin with. The CPM aims to replicate that in all major tribal concentrations in Kerala.
