The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation had to conduct an emergency evacuation in a four-storey building in the congested Chawri Bazaar area of Old Delhi after cracks were detected in the building during the tunnelling of a Metro rail line. DMRC officials said that alternate accommodation will be provided to those who want to be relocated in neighbouring hotels and guesthouses.
