Stating it is important to link technology and farmers in order to bring poverty under control, Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) Chairman Dr R S Paroda said simple post-harvest technologies should be put to use in order to help farmers utilise the opportunities available in the market. Addressing the audience as chief guest at the National Technology Day celebrations at the Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI) on Monday, Padmashree awardee Dr Paroda lamented that despite achievements of Green Revolution in the buffer stock, India was successful in alleviating poverty even to a small extent.
