CS Review Works Of Narmada Water Supply Project

Chief Secretary Avni Vaish held detailed review of the works of Narmada Water Supply Project today at the Mantralaya. Vaish directed to complete the project works within the time limit. He discussed the progress of the works with senior officers of the Public Health Engineering Department, Bhopal Municipal Corporation and implementation agency of the project works. He told them to complete the works in coordination among them so that citizens of the state capital are benefited with the project at the earliest.
Avni Vaish said that the project works are delayed due to different reasons but special attention should be paid to complete the remaining works on a war footing basis. People of the city are eagerly waiting to get Narmada Water from the project. The chief secretary was informed about the progress about construction of approach -bridge, pipe line, electricity sub-station for purification plant, Intake Well, bridges on Betwa and Kaliasot Rivers, and master balancing service reservoir etc. He instructed the implementing agency to complete the works within the specified time, to increase pace of work, and ensure water supply to the people before onset of summer season next year. He asked the implementing agency to coordinate with the public health engineering department to solve the problems being faced by it for completing the works.
Principal Secretary Public Health Engineering R K Swai, Principal Secretary, Urban Administration and Development S P S Parihar, Vice President of Kirloskar Brothers, Pune Sanjay Kirloskar, Principal Engineer Public Health Engineering Department G S Damor, Bhopal Municipal Corporation Commissioner Manish Singh and concerned officers were present.
