A sandalwood tree, believed to be the last in the vicinity of the Cubbon park, was felled and carried away in the wee hours today. This is the second such incident in the Cubbon ark police station limits in the last four months.In a similar night-time operation right under the nose of the Cubbon park police, another sandalwood tree had been felled about four months ago, according to Karnataka High Court judge M F Saldanha.
