Though work on the Sardar Sarovar Project on the Narmada has resumed after nearly fiver years, potential hurdles to the completion of the dam still remain. It is now clear that Medha Patkar and the Narmada Bachao Andolan will continue with their protests despite the Supreme Court rejecting their petition to stop the construction.The organisation, which has a lot of support in other countries too, has openly found fault with the apex court directive and launched a "long march" to Delhi and Mumbai.....(Editorial).
