The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is likely to face contempt of court proceedings for attempting to convert over 11 hectares of "green" land in Kalkaji area into residential use to regularise unauthorised dwellers, trespassing on Government land for years. Giving a period of six weeks, the Division Bench of Chief Justice BC Patel and Justice SK Kaul have asked the Commissioner (Land) to evict the unauthorised occupants within six weeks or be ready to face contempt proceedings.
