Delhiites may soon see the city go greener. DDA has plans to develop several new parks in the city. Plans are also afoot to create a bio-diversity park spread over 200 acres near Wazirabad. It will have as many as 35 ecosystems which can support a variety of life-forms. The civic agency has made provisions for these parks in its Annual Budget which was presented recently. So far, it has developed about 1,600 acres of green areas. Another project on the anvil is a botanical and science park at Dwarka, West Delhi. Various species of plants with medicinal value will be grown in this park and a nursery will also be developed for the residents. The park will also have water bodies.
