The Delhi Development Authority has undertaken plantation of trees in a big way for beautification of its parks, afforestation programmes and for controlling the spread of the western desert into the national Capital. The hub of this plantation drive is the upcoming Dwarka subcity in South West Delhi, where the greening drive has witnessed growth of about 32,000 trees on the central verge of roads and another 18,000 on the road sides.
