For the first time, the Delhi Development Authority is using the hollow-block technology in construction of houses for the economically weaker sections. The hollow concrete block technology was first used by the development authority in constructing 12 sample flats as a pilot project in Vasant Kunj in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology.
