With state cabinet decision to float fresh global tenders the consortium of SPAS Norway, Qzaltin of Turkey and Hindustan Construction Company of the contract, the fate of Sawalakote hydroelectric project now hangs afire as consortium has moved the High Court. It may be mentioned here that after consortium cited media reports about unilateral decision of the state cabinet, the state high court granted a stay directing the Power Development Corporation to maintain status-quo on the hydroelectric project.
