Confessing your love by scratching it across the walls of monuments could cost you a pretty penny or even worse, land your in jail. Delhi government is planning to set up a Heritage Conservation Authority that will be empowered to send defaulters to three years of imprisonment and charge a prohibitive fine of Rs 10,000. This is the first time that conservation of protected conservation of protected monuments will be given a legal form.
