Delayed phasing out of old vehicles regretted

Environmentalists expressed scepticism over the recent Nepal government's decision that aims to completely phase out polluting vehicles from Kathmandu city by mid-july 2000. Experts say, if properly implemented, the programme would go a long way in improving the deteriorating quality of air in the capital. Air pollution level at the moment is many times above WHO's danger marks.
