Delhi gets greener than Bangalore

Despite increasing urban congestion, Delhi has emerged as one of the greenest cities of the country, with 19 per cent of its area under green cover. With this, the national Capital has got greener, than even Bangalore, the City of Gardens, which has 13.5 per cent of its area under vegetation. According to data provided by the Delhi Development Authority, According to data provided by the Delhi Development Authority, Kanpur also has a sizable expanse of greenery with 16.8 per cent of its area under green cover. The greens are being developed by the DDA in various areas as per population and in the form of regional parks, city forests, historical landscapes, sports centres, neighbourhood parks and playgrounds.
