With the threat of yet another transport crisis looming large - almost 2,500 diesel buses might go off roads next week - the Delhi government is planning to take CNG chassis manufacturers Telco and Ashok Leyland to the apex court. "The companies had told the court that they had 15,00 chassis lying ready, which the operators were not picking up. However, even their inventory records show that the figures were misleading," said Delhi Transport Minister Ajay Maken. As on April 1, Telco had 378 buses in its inventory and Ashok Leyland another 1,000.
