Delhi Government has decided to depute NGOs to monitor the survival rate of saplings planted by the Forest Department. The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Shailaja Chandra earlier this month. These NGOs will be assigned specific areas in the city where plantation has been undertaken.
