Delhi govt to start afforestation drive

The Delhi government will plant 22.60 lakh trees and shrubs this year in the Capital as part of its efforts to rein in air pollution. The Delhi environment and forests minister, Dr A K Walia, who announced this at the Van Mahotsava function today, also said that the forest cover had increased by 62 kilometres and that the government was planning 14" city forests".
