Delhi Plan size set at Rs 5,025 cr

While the Plan size for Delhi has increased from Rs 4,700 crore in 2002-03 to Rs 5,025 crore in 2003-04, the state will reduce spending on energy in absolute terms. Privatisation of power has led to decrease in the outlay for the energy sector from Rs 1,612 crore in 2002-03 to Rs 1,463 crore in 2003-04. In 2003-04, the pattern of Delhi's expenditure will undergo changes. The outlay on energy will drop from 34 per cent of the Plan outlay in 2002-03 to 29 per cent in 2003-04, while that on transport will rise from 16 per cent to 19 per cent.
