Delhi to get more water

As the water in the Narwana branch of the Bhakra Mainline Canal will be released in the wee hours tomorrow, New Delhi which has been facing drinking water crisis, will start getting water supply from this canal on August 30.Officials sources in the Punjab Irrigation Department said today that the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) has been asked to increase the water supply in the Bhakra Mainline Canal around midnight to enable the Irrigation Department to further release the water in the Narwana branch.
