Dengue claims two lives in Gurgaon

With two dead out of the 150 confirmed dengue cases reported at Gurgaon hospitals, an alarmed district administration is taking immediate steps to arrange special facilities at its civil hospital.
Keeping in view the spread of dengue in Gurgaon, the district administration reviewed the steps taken by the doctors in civil hospital for treatment of patients suffering from dengue. The local civil hospital has also started a separate ward for dengue patients. According to sources, 278 suspected dengue patients came to light in the district but 150 tested positive and the rest were diagnosed with viral fever. He said out of the patients suffering from dengue, two had died. Rest of the patients are out of danger and majority of them have been discharged after being cured. He said most of the dengue patients are from Gurgaon city and adjoining areas. An official spokesman said 35 cases of malaria have also been detected in the district and are being treated.
The administration has advised the people to clean their desert coolers at least once a week and keep their overhead water tanks properly covered as the standing water is the breeding ground for the female mosquitoes responsible for spreading dengue.
He also advised people to wear full sleeves clothes while sleeping and check accumulation of water near their houses. If water logging is unavoidable then they should spray kerosene, diesel or black oil. The information about dengue patients can be given on number 09899397029.
