The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board has taken up the desilting of the lake bed at Himayatsagar reservoir to increase the storage capacity by around one lakh cubic metres. The feeder channel of the lake is also being deepened to ensure free flow of water into the Himayatsagar lake during monsoon.
