A high level seminar of the Planning Commission has accused the developed countries of being the biggest contributors to the accumulation, of Green House Gases in the atmosphere which is causing global warming. This, it said, was largely due to their unsustainable life styles and high levels of consumption. The seminar was on "climate change - its demolition and implications for planning in India." The key note address of the seminar, which was organised on July 31, was given by member secretary Dr S R Hashim.
