The committee set up to prepare a comprehensive master plan for the development of Kochi has decided to focus on education, tourism and information technology which can bring in vast changes in the city. The State Government has entrusted the Corporation of Cochin with preparing a master plan in association with the Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA) and the Town Planning Department and submit it within six months. The master plan will be prepared keeping in view the development projects coming up in the city, including the LNG Terminal, Vallarpadam Transshipment Container Terminal, Smart City and Infopark.
