The Kailali District Forest Office (Nepal) has decided to take over the management of the Chhatiwan Community Forestry citing misappropriation of hundreds of thousands of rupees by its users group. The forestry occupying around 4000 hectared of forest land is believed to be one of the largest forests managed by the communities.
