Following the destruction of range posts and the absence of a regular patrol, unauthorised felling of trees from the forests in Tanahun district (Nepal) is on the rise, but the District Forest Office (DFO) has not taken action, according to sources. In the latest case, around 200 valuable trees were felled and smuggled from Faising Forests in Vyas municipality-6. The forest is to be handed over to the consumer group soon.
