Experts at a workshop rated Dhaka as one of the 20 major earthquake-prone cities in the world and warned that there would be a complete catastrophe if a severe earthquake should hit it. Jointly organised by Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief and Disaster Management Bureau, the National Workshop on Earthquake-2000 was held at Bangladesh Institute of Administration Management (BIAM).
