Bangladesh is updating the studies and findings on a proposed multi-million dollar barrage on the river ganges planned to be constructed to prevent flooding, irrigate crop land, remove water salinity and preserve ecology, officials said on Friday. They said the updating of the studies, conducted by different firms, will be done as per the action plan adopted at the recently-concluded international seminar on water resoureces management.
