Diesel consumption in Delhi has fallen by 15 per cent over the past one year indicating a corresponding drop in the level of polluting emissions emitted by the fuel. The sales figures that are available for the month of April and May reflect the drop as compared to the figures for the same months last year. The drop has ben specially stark after the introduction of Low Sulphur Diesel in the National Capital Territory from April 1 as the price of diesel went up.
