The declaration given by the Supreme Court banning felling of trees in September 1999 is proving to be a very costly proposition for villagers who live on periphery of forests and depend on the trees for their livelihood.Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has decided to submit a report in this regard to the Supreme Court.
