Disease hits areca trees in Sagar

Experts from the Regional Research Centre of Shimoga's Agricultural College visited the areca plantations in Kasaba hobli of Sagar taluk of Karnataka on Monday, where a peculiar disease afflicting trees has been detected. The team of experts visited these plantations after reports of tender arecanut falling from trees in several plantations of the taluk came to light.
