A public interest writ petition for directing the authorities to strictly comply with the provisions of the Biomedical Wastes (Management and Handling) Rules, 1998, for segregation, packing, transportation, treatment and disposal of biomedical wastes and municipal wastes generated from Medical College Hospital, Calicut, and other institutions, was admitted by the Kerala High Court today.
