District-level health society meet on malaria held

A district level health society meet on Malaria was held under the presidentship of KK Kalita, principal secretary of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council who is also the chairman of the district health society in his chamber today. This was stated in a press release. Dr DKD Bharali, Joint Director of Health services and BC Goswami, District Malaria Officer who were present on the occasion revealed that about 2900 number of people are affected from malaria and 13 number were found death of malaria. The meeting has decided to take immediate spray of DDT and other measures like health check-up camp involving eight number of health blocks of the district and ASHA workers, malaria, detection training in school institutions and proper supervision and monitoring of malaria situation and control room in the office of district malaria, Diphu and other measures were also discussed. The meeting was attended by officials including Dr A Bharali, additional CM and HO Dr UC Narzari, superintendent of civil hospital, Diphu Shekar Engti, Deputy Director Information and Public Relations, Assam, Diphu, SK Bhutia, additional director of schools, Dr N Rajkhuwa, Dr Borsing Rongpi, S Teron, senior FAO, KAAC, DV Chaudhury, EE PHE and officials of NRHM
