Bowing to the demands of the residents of Quepem, the South Goa district Magistrate, G P Naik has partially modified his order in respect of the timings of plying of mining trucks in the taluka. Naik today issued directions that the mining trucks would now ply between 6 am to 4.30 pm till May 31 instead of 6 am to 6 pm. The changes in the timings came after the district Magistrate had meetings with the residents of Quepem in the morning and another round of meeting with a delegation of mine owners in the Collectorate this evening.
