A practising doctor at Dharmapuri, who reportedly accompanied forest brigand Veerapan in poaching activities in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka forests has been arrested. The Chief Conservator of Forests, Salem, Mr. P. L. Ananthasamy, said today that Dr. Vaiyapuri was nabbed when he was engaged in poaching of elephants in the Harur reserve forest area on March 26.
