It is a virtual jungle rule in Bundelkhand. The timber mafia operating in and around the forests of Lalitpur are daring enough to smuggle out entire trains full of wood. While in Terai, the smugglers find it hard to smuggle a truck-load of timber across the border, in Lalitpur, a powerful gang smuggled out more than 163 wagons of wood - almost four trains-load of it, from the State. The forest officials were mute witnesses as wagons after wagons of wood were booked with forged documents.
