The Delhi Government has finally decided to focus on the upgradation of the public transport system in the Capital. The Transport Department plans to get a whole new fleet of modern, low-floor buses for Delhi and it has already started the process by inviting global bids for 200 low-floor CNG-run buses. "...We have decided to get new buses which will be disabled-friendly and will enable easy access to senior citizens and children. We will be phasing out the existing 3,000 DTC fleet over the next three years and will replace them with modern buses, well before the Commonwealth Games', said Haroon Yusuf, Minister for Transport, Delhi.
