The Animals Rights International, a voluntary body working for the rights of the animals, observed the day by sending out four elephants in four directions of the city from Rajghat this morning. The elephants represented all animals and the aim was to draw the attention of the Government to adopt the Universal Declaration of the Rights of Animals, as declared by the International League for Animal Rights way back in 1978.
