The recent cases of dysentery and diarrhoea as reported from the old areas of the city in August can be directly linked to the findings of the ITRC post monsoon environment Assessment Report. The findings indicate that the drinking water of the industrial areas were found to be contaminated with coliform and faecal coliform bacteria.
