12/04/1998
The Haryana Government has decided to supply drinking water to residents of unauthorised colonies in towns through standposts on the pattern of villages. Announcing this today the Haryana Public Health Minister, Mr Jagan Nath, regretted that residents of unauthorised colonies, which had no facilities for proper roads and drinking water, were not willing to pay development charges and wanted all facilities from the government free of cost. Now the Haryana Government had decided to treat such colonies at par with villages and provide them drinking water through standposts.
