very shoddy approach of the State government in bringing a vital problem to the attention of the Central government once again came to light when the Union Minister for Agriculture and Consumer Affairs, Sharad Pawar, himself declared that they are still awaiting receipt of the requisite memorandum from the State government to consider Central assistance for drought-affected areas of the State.
